Women, just like Nature, are severely overexploited by human societies globally. Economically, socially, sexually, bodily every woman suffers to some extent.
Violence against Nature and women is enormous and counting.
I am convinced that properly applied permaculture principles provide answers to both issues, if they reflect on gender differences and inequalities between women and men, in a feminist way.
In my work, therefore, I strongly believe, that women have to be encouraged to have their own spaces, learning environments. In these spaces and environments, we can together explore, and become more aware of and conscious about our own difficulties, questions, realities, to find our own truths and answers.
In my understanding permaculture and feminism are just two slightly different approaches towards peace and harmonious livelihood among living creatures.
